Manager Referral

The EAP Formal Manager Referral process is a valuable tool for managers. Referrals can be made when employees require independent professional support to help address challenges that may be affecting their wellbeing, workplace participation, behaviour, or performance.

Supporting Managers

This process has been designed for managers who wish to refer an employee for independent support and assistance from an EAP Professional.

In many cases, referrals relate to workplace concerns that may be affecting an employee's wellbeing, behaviour, resilience, workplace relationships, or performance. The Manager Referral process provides employees with confidential professional support while enabling organisations to proactively respond to issues that may impact health, safety, and workplace participation.

Manager Referrals also provide the opportunity for the referring manager to request agreed feedback from EAP Services to assist them in managing the circumstances that led to the referral.

Feedback may be as simple as confirmation of attendance. To support this process, employees provide their consent for EAP Services to disclose the agreed feedback to the referring manager.

We also provide access to experienced psychologists, counsellors, and other qualified professionals, ensuring a coordinated and evidence-based approach that supports employee wellbeing, resilience, recovery, and positive workplace outcomes.
